Installation
TAP LOCATION OPTIONS
Depending upon space available the tap may be fitted through the worktop adjacent to the sink (see diagram 1), or within the stainless steel surround (see diagram 2)
FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
- Locate tap around the back edge of the sink, ensuring the end of the tap is over the sink, see tap location diagram (right). 2. Drill a half inch hole in chosen location, install and secure tap, see diagram A.
- Locate and tighten self-tapping saddle valve onto incoming mains water supply. See diagram B. DO NOT PIERCE MAINS UNTIL SYSTEM IS FULLY CONNECTED.
- Locate and install filter kit on the side of the sink base unit using bracket and screw provided, see diagram C. Note filter can be mounted at any axis.
- Remove dust caps from each end of the water filter and then push a grey connector to either end of water filter. Push red tube into input end of filter body and blue tube into output end of filter body. These fittings are self sealing, test by trying to pull pipe away from the fitting gently. Direction of the flow is indicated on filter label. See filter label which shows how the Pack fit connector works.
- Open the tap on the sink then turn the self-tapping saddle valve clockwise as far as possible, then anticlockwise to open. (Low pressure at the tap may mean that the saddle valve is not fully open, in this case repeat the procedure). 7. Before use run tap for two minutes to de-aerate the carbon block.
REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS FOR IN LINE WATER FILTERS
- Lift tap at sink to get the water flowing.
- Turn off water at saddle valve by turning T-bar Clockwise until flow at tap ceases
- Disconnect red and blue pipe from connectors on water filter cartridge.
- Remove push fit connector from top of water cartridge.
- Unscrew cap on filter and remove old carbon block insert. Washout housing thoroughly before inserting new carbon block. Check the 'O' ring is clean and undamaged. Screw up cap tightly.
- Replace connector onto end of filter and reconnect red and blue pipes into push fit connectors.
- Turn on mains water at the saddle valve under the sink by turning T-bar anticlockwise. Check there is a flow of water at the tap then turn off and check for leaks under the sink. If any found repeat procedure 5 & 6.
NOTE: It is most important when removing pipe from connector or connector from cartridge to ensure that the collet remains butted up to the shoulder of the connector.
